July 2008

We will be having a pirate theme this month, we are having a pirate party the kids are going to help make decorations, we will have a treasure hunt & dressing up, One of the long term mindess will be leaving so it will be a very sad month for us. Hope fully if the weather is good this month we will be having lots of outdoor play, visiting parks and having picnics.

June 2008

This month so far it has been very exciting, the builders have come to pave the garden and the children loved seeing the digger arrive, the plan is to pave the whole garden so that the children can play out there most days. We will plant some tomatoes and herbs in pots that the children will help me to water and maintain.

I have got the 1st week off in june to make it easier for me as i have a lot of the garden furniture in the house at the moment due to the work being carried out.

The theme for this month is Euro 2008, i will put the names of all the countries into a hat and let each child choose one of the names and these are the countries that we will learn all about, we will be designing our own footballs making flags and lots of other fun activities.

May 2008

The theme for this month is Swindon, we have learn't all about isambaad kingdon brunel, had a visit to the steam museum in the railway village, we made a big display board full of pictures of swindon and each child has made a collage. We even looked at the famous magic roundabout.

We have had a few visits into the town centre and picked up leaflets from the tourist information centre and added them to our display board.

Each child has learnt the name of the street that they live in.
